| At the Whisky a Go Go, Saturday, January
| |
| | Tops! Good mixture of songs and styles.
|
| 6, 2007, the opening band was Vekstar
| |
| | Nothing boring, and they did different
|
| (Can hear them on my space if you are
| |
| | songs than they have on My Space. (Except
|
| intereseted.) Some nice tunes on My
| |
| | for Innuendo which they played live).
|
| Space, but the live performance didn't
| |
| | Audience rapport. Great! They were
|
| quite cut it for the audience. The band
| |
| | totally in sync with the crowd and
|
| stood there looking rather bored and
| |
| | afterwards I heard good comments coming
|
| disinterested, and the audience quickly
| |
| | out of everyone's mouths. Final Analysis:
|
| followed suit. I like to look around at
| |
| | Keep your eyes on these girls. They are
|
| the effect the performers make on the
| |
| | going places.
|
| audience, tells me what other people
| |
| | Third up: BILLY BOY on POISON. (Sorry
|
| think. A band should communicate to their
| |
| | guys can't find My Space profile on you).
|
| audience. One of the basic principles of
| |
| | Interesting act. Probably a little on the
|
| performance. Vekstar didn't.
| |
| | bizarre side (lead singer in underwear
|
| Their performance: poor, boring;
| |
| | and fishnet stocking type of bizarre),
|
| Musicianship: Decent; Vocals: lacking
| |
| | but interesting. Had a good size
|
| energy live, (sound better on My Space);
| |
| | following there and like Dead Sara had
|
| Creativity: poor, after a while it
| |
| | the audience with them throughout their
|
| sounded like one long song. Audience
| |
| | set. A good performance oriented act,
|
| rapport: none, people were talking to
| |
| | with strong rockin' music, but a little
|
| each other and not many were watching the
| |
| | weak (well actually a lot weak) on the
|
| band as they played. Final analysis. Time
| |
| | vocals.
|
| to go back to the drawing board. Regroup.
| |
| | Performance: Great! (if you like things a
|
| Something is not working here.
| |
| | little bizarre) Just plain bizarre if you
|
| Second up: Dead Sara (Can hear them on my
| |
| | don't like bizarre. Nonetheless, still a
|
| space if you are interested.) What can I
| |
| | well coordinated stage show.
|
| say. Dead Sara
| |
| | Musicianship: Great! A very tight band,
|
| Rocks! The lackluster bored audience
| |
| | Rockin'music. Vocals: Terrible. Sorry but
|
| became very intent and heads began
| |
| | someone needs a few vocal lessons.
|
| boppin' as soon as Dead Sara took the
| |
| | Creativity: Decent mixture of songs and
|
| stage. Dead Sara immediately got the
| |
| | styles. Got a little boring after awhile
|
| audience's attention and kept it for
| |
| | (probably due to the singing more than
|
| their whole set. They opened up with a
| |
| | anything else.) Audience rapport. Great.
|
| two song two member (reminiscent of the
| |
| | Seemed to have lots of fans there, and
|
| White Stripes) set, and finished with
| |
| | they liked them. Though, a lot of the non
|
| three more songs with a guest bassist and
| |
| | fans didn't have very many kind things to
|
| drummer (Their My Space page says bassist
| |
| | say. Final Analysis. Worth seeing to
|
| and drummer needed).
| |
| | decide for yourself. If they are your
|
| Performance, great! Nothing too fancy but
| |
| | kind of band, you'll probably like them.
|
| these girls (Emily and Siouxsie) rock,
| |
| | If they are not, you won't.
|
| are alive, and love music. It shows;
| |
| | As for me, not exactly my kind of band. I
|
| Musicianship, great. Siouxsie rocks on
| |
| | like good vocals. So I got a little bored
|
| both guitar and drums. Vocals: Excellent!
| |
| | and walked out before Billy Boy on Poison
|
| Best vocals of the night. Great voice and
| |
| | finished. Didn't stay for the other
|
| man can that Emily scream! Creativity:
| |
| | bands.
